Having the good fortune to be born into a dysfunctional family, Avril was launched, by her own need for healing, onto the path of self transformation. This has inspired over 30 years of research, success, crash and burn learning, experimenting, and general accumulation of wisdom (one would hope!). Now she is ready to share her journey and discoveries with the world through her writing.
Credentials...Well, yes, Avril has been through various forms of traditional and not so traditional education - and? It was only a small part of the whole experience of being in the school of life on Earth. So, no letters after her name. Her preferred suffix is actually a smiley face :)
Creativity comes in many forms and Avril also loves to dance and paint. You can see her bopping along to the tunes in her earphones as she walks the dog through the forest. And soon she will be teaching a weekly Core Connexion class (dance, baby, ya!) in North Vancouver. Please have a look at her website www.pathoftheheartdance.com to see how you can join her on the dance floor.
Oh, and did we mention painting? Because Avril loves that too. A self taught user of acrylic paint, Avril is a talented artist in many styles from personally inspired images to more traditional ones, including creating custom art for folks that know what they want but can't find it. Her art website is www.pathoftheheartart.com. I am sensing a theme of paths and hearts here.
Avril is also blessed with two children who keep her growing every day. She realized early on into motherhood that the best way to face your growth edge is to have children - they are experts at bringing everything up to the surface! She can't thank her two enough for being the fabulous people they are!
Fundamentally, Avril strives for authenticity in all she does. Riding the roller coaster of life with a sense of humor and compassion, she appreciates her community as it expands around the world. Avril is happy you are visiting this website and especially appreciates you reading all the way to the end of this section! If it wasn't getting to be a bit tacky, she would say, Namaste :)
