POEM #281 FOR POEM A DAY FOR 2020

I get so angry when old growth trees are cut down that I can't even see straight! 

Cats and tea seem infinitely easier to deal with than love!

Learning self love is one of the wisest things I have ever done!!

Loud music and movement are such good therapy!! 

This red background needed a little passion today!

A girl can hope, can't she?

Some of the best prayers are spontaneous and wordless. Nature inspires this in me. 

Sometimes life surprises me by being even better than what I had dreamed of. Yay! 

It can be overwhelming - the sadness I feel in the face of all the suffering in our world. I don't know what good writing a poem does but here is one of many pouring out my sadness onto the page. 

This is a good consideration, yes? I have almost as many poems about self love as I do about insomnia! Lol!

It can be such a challenge to be present with vulnerability!!

Thank goodness for music and divine connection!

Found this poem from 2015 in my collection today and it made me laugh. Which one IS better? Sex or ice cream?

The upside of exhaustion is that it can encourage me to surrender all my attempts at "control". 

Being misunderstood can be so painful!! I wish for clarity, communication and understanding for everyone! Let's see the truth.

I hate it when I lose myself in what someone else thinks of me!! Whoops!

This one from spring of 2019 felt particularly relevant today! 

I am grateful there is no limit on healing - I can always tend to the small, wounded places within me no matter how old my body becomes. 

Sometimes we need to take turns standing in the light until the storm passes :)

Two for one today to celebrate reaching my 300th poem!! Only 66 days left in 2020 (66 because it is a leap year)  :)
