POEM #301 FOR POEM A DAY FOR 2020

There is something magical about curling up in a sunbeam. This one is for you mom :)

This wasn't actually the poem I was going to post today but then I suddenly felt romantic. 

Does this poem look like a pigeon or a rubber duck?

Grief can be so all encompassing. This poem, from the winter of 2014, reminded me to be extra compassionate when I am sad and waiting for change. 

Another ode to dance! How I do love it and rely on it. Best spiritual practice ever! Plus, it's fun!!

Halloween was on the 305th day of 2020. Here is a poem inspired by the season. Happy Halloween :)

Inspired by dandelions, the power of now, consciousness rather than fear and a general counterpoint to election intensity :)

Intimacy can be quite a challenge. May we all be blessed with the courage, willingness and faith to take the risk! 

 Thank goodness for the resource that tapping into the earth can be. Extra helpful when being in support of another. 

I highly recommend making friends with your shadow self! Plus, they say that, if you don't make friends, your shadow will bite you in the ass! I have had this experience. Better to turn towards it consciously!!

Just a hopeful little love poem today :)

I found this poem today - written in early 2020. LIttle did I know that it was going to be a bit harder than usual to be "spiritual" this year! 

Thank goodness for stars. They can be such wonderful teachers! 

Twenty years ago today, this was the play by play. I am so grateful to be a mother and to have such a terrific daughter. Happy Birthday Hannah!!

I really need to make friends with ease and effortlessness!!
