POEM #241 FOR POEM A DAY FOR 2020

Maybe there is no such thing as getting into relationship "slowly"?

Ugh! Addiction and withdrawal suck!

...and then there are those wonderful moments of connection. There are so many flavours (and poems) of relationship. 

Oh, ya know, just fooling around with words and imagery together :)

I found this poem from 2012 and reworked it a bit today. It really struck a chord in our current world landscape!

Thank goodness for trees! And hugging trees! My adoptive parents :)

Apparently, there is no rushing the letting go process. It happens in its own time. 

Grateful for Grace! I appreciate it when I make it through the turbulent water of emotions to a safe harbour. 

I know it depends where I look, but sometimes it seems like there is a serious shortage of good role models around!!

Wow, it's hard to believe that I am up to two hundred and fifty poems. This poem is a reflection on the parallel relationship between stones of the earth and bones in the body. 

It always cracks me up when  poem wants to be about writing poems. A certain irony there! :)

After all, visions often do lead to reality!

Well, that's funny. It was just last week that I wrote a poem about feeling like a child while hugging a tree. Clearly, I appreciate nature's love!

There are times  when a response is simply unavailable - whether it is misinterpreted or not. 

Compassion can truly create miracles!

Oh dear, I certainly owe my own heart an apology!

Wow! Surrender is hard work!

Oh my God! Pumpkin pie smells SO good! Thank you to my daughter for baking today. I was napping and woke to that delicious smell. Mmmm. 

i remember the moment from 2012 that sparked this poem. I love that about poetry - how it can carry me back in time to a feeling, memory, moment. 

Bodies definitely have a mind of their own!!  :)
