POEM #120 FOR POEM A DAY FOR 2020

Ah, green...it's the best!

Ever had a relationship with an imaginary person - conversations, narrative, etc and then realized you were talking to yourself?

This kind of attraction is both tantalizing and maddening!

Sometimes the power and the softness of the rain are a soothing balm and help to feel feelings I might otherwise push away. 

This is actually true - hearts do not know distance and can remain connected across time and space. 

Sometimes anger is like a wild untamable animal or a volcano - it can do a lot of damage. 

This poem was born out of an ironic experience - after trying to "let go" in meditation and then succeeding, I was surprised to discover that letting go was its own challenge. It reminds me of something I read or heard but can't remember where it is from - Goes something like this...your first challenge will be seeking the path, the next challenge will be when you actually manage to get yourself on the path!

I think it is important to celebrate when we return from any Hell we have been traveling through - I shows others they can do it to!

Ironically, this poem came to me in the middle of the night! Is it truth or fiction?

When dreams of an old love come to me it often evokes a sense of missing them and my thoughts take a tour of all the memories of how the relationship unfolded. 

Sometimes this is the only response. 

This poem was like a pause on the threshold of falling in love - a pause to consider before being swept into the storm. 

I came across this poem from 2017 and it struck me as funny and perfect for today as my thinker is currently on hold. 

This more recent poem was a spontaneous thank you and acknowledgment of how I often manage to have courage despite obstacles - gratefully! Even posting a poem a day for 2020 takes guts. 

This is my attempt to capture what was happening so delightfully out the window a few days ago!

Sometimes I really don't know whether to laugh or cry or both!

Some relationships have a really strong undertow - be careful!

Love is an odd thing. This poem is about an experience of love that changed me forever and for which I am grateful even though it didn't lead to the fairy tale ending. 

It takes some courage to make friends with my wounds and heal them

A lighthearted look at motherhood, weight gain and being in charge!
